Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone spotted out on a dinner date

Bollywood's rumoured couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, have been spotted spending some quality time together in the city from time to time. The duo was seen together once again, as they stepped out for a dinner date.

In a series of pictures that have surfaced on social media, the couple was spotted at a popular restaurant on Friday night. An inside picture, sees Ranveer and Deepika posing with the staff of the restaurant and their bunch of friends.

On the work front, the two actors will be seen next in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Padmavati' along with Shahid Kapoor.

Ranveer Singh exits, Deepika Padukone enters Padmavati set



Deepika Padukone is all set to start shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati from Saturday. This marks the exit of Ranveer Singh from this schedule, as the lead pair doesn’t share a single frame in the film.

According to a source close to the project, “Sanjay Bhansali starts shooting with Deepika at a time when Ranveer gets busy with the promotion of Aditya Chopra’s Befikre. Ranveer will be heading to various Indian cities and countries abroad with his co-star Vaani Kapoor, including a Parisian promotion and premiere, in the next few weeks as Deepika gets busy with Padmavati.”


This is not the first time Sanjay Bhansali and Aditya Chopra are “sharing” Ranveer  Singh in their cast. While Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani was being shot Ranveer took time off to promote Yash Raj films’ Kill Dill.



Says a source, “When it comes to Ranveer Singh there is always a give and take between Yash Raj Films and SLB Productions.”

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor says he is looking forward to work with Deepika Padukone in Padmavati. Shahid and Deepika will be seen together on screen for the first time in the film. Shahid plays Raja Ratan Singh, the Rajput ruler and husband of queen Padmavati (Deepika), in the period drama, to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.



Ranveer Singh will be seen as Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who falls in love with Padmavati. "I will start shooting for 'Padmavati' in a couple of weeks. I haven't started it yet, but it is an amazing honour to work with Bhansali ji. I love his films, I think he is a fantastic filmmaker. I am very excited about the role he has offered me. This is the first time that Deepika and I will be working together which is great. This is the first time me and Ranveer will be working together, which is great," Shahid told reporters at an event last night. 

The actor recently wrapped up his film with Vishal Bhardwaj, titled "Rangoon", which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut. The 35-year-old actor feels he is in an "amazing" phase professionally as he is working with two great directors back-to-back.

"Padmavati is a really big film. It is a challenging film to do as an actor. After working with Vishal Bharadwaj, working with Bhansali is an amazing place to be. I feel very
fortunate," he said.

Ranveer Singh gets irritated when asked about rumoured engagement



Grapevine has been abuzz with reports that star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are secretly engaged. Deepika was asked about the same at a fashion show recently and she retorted by saying, "I am not pregnant, I am not engaged, I am not married. I am not planning to get married anytime soon.” On Thursday, the duo attended the special screening of Irrfan Khan's 'Madaaro' and DP was asked about the rumoured engagement again. However, this time around beau Ranveer Singh got irritated and told DP, "Let's go." Deepika thanked reporters and walked away, while Ranveer told reporters, "Jis type ki film (Madaari) dekhi hai, uska toh lihaaz karen. Iss type ki fizool ki baatein na karen."
